A high builds in the Bight on Friday, ridging out over Tasmania during Saturday, and passing to the south of the state on Sunday.

Isolated showers statewide, becoming more frequent about the central north and northeast during the afternoon. Possible thunderstorms about the central north and northeast during the late afternoon and evening. Southwest to southeasterly winds, with afternoon sea breezes about the north and west.
Saturday 8 February
Light showers about northern and central districts. Mainly fire elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, with afternoon sea breezes about the north and west.
Sunday 9 February
Fine, apart from light showers about the east and south east. East to southeasterly winds, with afternoon sea breezes about the north.
