Weather Situation
A trough extends across the Gregory and Carpentaria Districts. The monsoon trough and weak tropical low are positioned inland of the Gulf of Carpentaria coast and will move westwards across the Carpentaria and Gregory Districts during the next few days with an increase in showers and thunderstorms across north and central parts of the NT. A ridge directs easterly winds across southern NT.

Mostly sunny in the Lasseter, southern Simpson and southwest Tanami Districts. A slight to medium chance of showers and thunderstorms elsewhere, increasing to a medium to high chance over the Top End and eastern Carpentaria Districts. Very hot in the southern Gregory, Tanami, Lasseter and southern Simpson Districts. Moderate east to southeast winds south of Mataranka, tending fresh and gusty during the afternoon and evening south of Tennant Creek. Light to moderate southwest to northwest winds north of Mataranka.
Fire Danger – High in the Simpson and Lasseter Districts.

Mostly sunny in the Lasseter and southwest Simpson Districts. A slight to medium chance of showers and thunderstorms over the Tanami and northeast Simpson Districts, increasing to a medium to high chance elsewhere. Areas of rain developing across the northeast Arnhem District. Heavy falls are possible over the Carpentaria and northern Barkly Districts. Very hot in the Tanami, Lasseter and southern Simpson Districts. Moderate east to southeast winds south of Elliott, tending fresh and gusty during the afternoon and evening south of Barrow Creek. Light to moderate west to northwest winds north of Elliott, fresh at times about the north coast.

Heavy falls are possible in the Carpentaria, northern Barkly and eastern Gregory Districts. Very hot in the Lasseter, southern Simpson and southwest Tanami Districts. Moderate east to southeast winds south of Elliott, tending fresh and gusty during the afternoon and evening south of Barrow Creek. Light to moderate northwest winds north of Elliott.
