Easter Long Weekend Forecast for WA

Good Friday

Friday will start quite chilly in the SW corner. With Autumn really showing itself in that area of the state. Further north in the Gascoyne region, temps will also be close to the usual at this time of year.  Further north still, the minimums are expected to be close to average as well. Maximums are expected to remain cool in the south and above average in the north.

Tropical Low 29U which may be a cyclone by Friday is likely to bring rain to the NW coast around Broome and Derby. Some showers are also possible across the SE of the state. The remainder of the state should be dry and mostly sunny.

Easter Saturday

Saturday will start off even cooler in the south and fairly similar to Friday in the north. Maximums are likely to be also fairly cool over the SW and S of the state, in the north Temperatures will remain above average in some areas or near average in others. Cloud cover will keep the far NW cooler then average due to Tropical Low 29U.

Tropical low 29U (Possibly  TC Errol by then) will keep showers or rain forming over the NW of the state whereas the remainder will remain mostly dry.

Easter Sunday

Another cool to cold morning expected across the southern half of the state and similar minimums in the North of the state for your Sunday morning. Maximums will be slightly warmer across the majority of the state for Sunday arvo, The area close to Karratha will still see temperatures cooler then the previous.

Tropical low 29U is expected to have crossed the coast by Sunday, bring rainfall across the NW once again. This rain will likely extend inland. The rest of the state will remain dry.

Easter Monday

Easter Monday should be very similar to Sunday in regard to minimum temperatures across the whole state. Maximums will also be warmer across most of the state but especially in the south as a surge of warmer weather moves down from the north.

The remnants of Tropical Low 29U will cause some rain and storms over the North of the state, the rest will remain mostly dry and sunny.
