Minor Flood Warning for the Mulgrave River and Flood Warning for the Russell River

RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT PEETS BRIDGE AND GORDONVALE FROM OVERNIGHT WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY
Significant heavy rainfall since Monday last week has been recorded in the Mulgrave-Russell catchment, which has caused river level rises and flooding over the last few days. River levels remain elevated along the Russell River.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast over the next few days which may cause renewed river level rises and minor flooding. The situation will continue to be closely monitored and warnings will be updated as required.
Mulgrave River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Mulgrave River.
The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge is currently at 3.70 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (5.00 metres) The Mulgrave River at Peets Bridge may reach the minor flood level (5.00 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale is currently at 10.05 metres and falling, below minor flood level (12.00 m). The Mulgrave River at Gordonvale may reach the minor flood level (12.00 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
Russell River:
Elevated river levels and flooding are continuing along the Russell River, with minor flooding occurring at Clyde Rd. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall..
